FAQs

Please note that my services are not refundable. This is because a significant amount of time and effort goes into preparing for your birth, and I reserve that time for you once we have agreed to work together. However, I will always strive to provide the best possible support and care, no matter the circumstances.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am here to support you in any way that I can.

  • A birth doula is a trained professional who provides emotional, physical, and informational support to women and their partners during pregnancy, childbirth, and the early postpartum period. The role of a birth doula is to help create a positive and empowering birth experience by offering guidance, comfort, and advocacy to the mother and her partner.

A birth doula typically meets with the expectant mother and her partner before the birth to discuss their preferences, concerns, and any fears they may have about the birthing process. During labor and delivery, the doula provides continuous support, including massage, positioning suggestions, breathing techniques, and other comfort measures to help the mother cope with the physical and emotional intensity of labor. The doula can also act as an advocate for the mother, helping to ensure that her preferences and wishes are respected by medical staff.

After the birth, the doula provides additional support and guidance, including breastfeeding assistance and information on newborn care. The doula can also help the mother process the birth experience and offer emotional support during the postpartum period.

  • A doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support to help make your birth experience positive and empowering. Research shows that having a doula can lead to shorter labor, less need for pain medication, and a lower likelihood of interventions. Plus, having someone in your corner who knows the ins and outs of the medical system can be incredibly helpful. A doula can help you navigate the process, advocate for your preferences, and offer guidance on coping techniques for labor and postpartum recovery. So if you want a more positive and memorable birth experience, consider hiring a doula!

  • Any time during pregnancy! The sooner the better. My goal is to build a trusting relationship with you before being present at one of the most vulnerable experiences of your life.

  • Abortion doulas are trained professionals who offer emotional, physical, and informational support to individuals seeking abortions. They work alongside medical professionals and are not involved in the medical procedure itself. Their role is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental presence for the patient, offering comfort, guidance, and advocacy throughout the process. They help patients navigate the healthcare system, understand their options, and provide resources for additional support. Abortion doulas strive to ensure that every patient feels empowered and supported, regardless of their decision, and that they have a positive and compassionate experience.

  • If you're considering an abortion, I want you to know that you're not alone. And if you're feeling scared or overwhelmed, hiring an abortion doula can make all the difference. An abortion doula is someone who can offer emotional and physical support, answer your questions, and help you navigate the process with compassion and understanding. They can provide comfort during the procedure, advocate for your needs, and help you process your feelings afterward. Having a caring and knowledgeable person by your side can help you feel more empowered and less alone during this difficult time. So if you're considering an abortion, consider hiring an abortion doula to help guide you through the process with warmth and empathy.

  • Cannabis doulas are trained professionals who specialize in providing support to women who choose to use cannabis during pregnancy. Their job is to provide education, guidance, and emotional support to help women make informed decisions about their cannabis use and navigate any potential risks associated with it.

During pregnancy, a cannabis doula will work one-on-one with the client to create a customized plan that takes into account their unique needs and preferences. This can include recommendations for specific strains or products, as well as guidance on dosing and frequency of use. The cannabis doula will also provide information on the legalities of cannabis use during pregnancy and the potential impact of cannabis on fetal development.

One of the primary roles of a cannabis doula during pregnancy is to provide emotional support to women who may feel isolated or stigmatized due to their cannabis use. They can help women cope with the stress and anxiety of pregnancy, as well as provide resources and referrals to other healthcare professionals as needed.

Cannabis doulas can also help women who are experiencing pregnancy-related symptoms, such as nausea and vomiting, find relief through the use of cannabis. They can provide information on the best strains and methods of consumption for managing these symptoms, as well as help women understand the potential risks and benefits of using cannabis for this purpose.

It is important to note that the use of cannabis during pregnancy is still controversial and there is limited research on its safety and effectiveness. Cannabis doulas are NOT medical professionals and cannot provide medical advice. They can only provide guidance and support based on the available research and their own experience working with clients.

Women who choose to use cannabis during pregnancy should consult with their healthcare provider before doing so and use cannabis responsibly under the guidance of a trained professional. By providing education, guidance, and emotional support, cannabis doulas can help women make informed decisions about their cannabis use and ensure a safe and positive experience during pregnancy.
